CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering opens its doors for high school students
28 April 2026
The CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering held an Open Day for first and second year of secondary education students, with the aim of giving them a close look at how technological innovation is learned, implemented, and developed at the university. To this end, three practical workshops were organized, led by professors from the CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering.
The first workshop focused on applied technology, where the future university students were able to see how devices equipped with sensors capable of detecting movement, behavior, and even emotional states can improve people’s lives.
The second workshop centered on the basic principles of drones and how they can be used across different areas of engineering, including live flight and control demonstrations.
The final workshop consisted of an interactive video game in which attendees were able to test their reflexes, while accompanying family members attended an information session about the CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering, delivered by Victoria López, Director of the School of Engineering, and Luz Añover, Head of Admissions at CUNEF Universidad.
The event concluded with a Meet & Greet, where students, faculty, and the admissions team had the opportunity to get to know each other better and answer all attendees’ questions, accompanied by a light cocktail.
