Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and Management
CUNEF Universidad’s Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and Management aims to shape professionals equipped to design, organise, optimise, and manage production systems and business operations. It combines engineering fundamentals with the technological and management tools required to overcome the challenges of today’s industrial landscape.
The curriculum provides a robust scientific and technological grounding in mathematics, physics, chemistry, programming, mechanics, electronics, and industrial robotics. Building upon this core, students acquire specialised knowledge in production organisation, operations management, logistics, industrial process design, project management, and resource optimisation.
The programme also features training in artificial intelligence, data engineering, automation, and digital transformation, coupled with core principles of economics, finance, and business management. This powerful combination equips graduates to understand industrial systems from a technical standpoint while simultaneously making strategic and management decisions to enhance performance.
Graduates in Industrial Engineering and Management will be fully prepared to participate in industrial and technological transformation projects, maximise organisational efficiency, and bridge the gap between engineering solutions and business objectives.
Competencies
Over the four-year programme, you will build the necessary competencies to:
- Design and optimise industrial production processes, facilities and systems.
- Plan production and manage operations, logistics, and supply chains.
- Use mathematical models, statistics, and simulation tools to drive decision-making.
- Leverage data analytics and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and automate industrial processes.
- Manage technological projects, resource allocation, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Assess the financial and business impact of engineering decisions to deliver solutions that create value in organisations.
Applicant Profile
The Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and Management is specifically designed for students with a strong interest in mathematics, physics, technology, and the inner workings of industrial systems, as well as a keen curiosity about the corporate world, organisational structures, and project management.
This degree is ideal for problem-solvers who seek to understand how things work and want to use engineering and technology to streamline processes, improve products, and transform organisations.
Given the programme’s rigorous scientific and technological curriculum, a strong background in mathematics and physics, such as the one acquired through the Science and Technology track in secondary education, is strongly advised.
Please note that the Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and Management does not directly qualify graduates for regulated professional practice.
