A CUNEF Universidad team takes part in the 17th edition of Moot Madrid

A team of Law and Business Administration students from CUNEF Universidad takes part in the 17th edition of Moot Madrid, an international competition in commercial arbitration and business law.
The starting point of the competition, one of the most prominent in the Spanish-speaking world, was the release of a case study last November. Since then, the students have worked intensively for several months, preparing legal briefs and acting as representatives for both the claimant and the respondent.
This process has provided them with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle a complex case closely aligned with the challenges of professional practice in the field of international business law.
The next stage consists of the oral rounds, held in April, where students defend both positions at the offices of leading law firms in Madrid before panels composed of professionals and experts in the field, including renowned lawyers and arbitrators.
Moot Madrid is one of the most important competitions of its kind in the Spanish-speaking world, and this year’s edition brings together 33 universities, both national and international. This experience offers participating students a unique opportunity to develop highly valued skills in the sector, such as legal argumentation, public speaking, teamwork, and conflict resolution in an international environment.
