Over 170 companies connect with university talent at CUNEF Universidad’s 22nd Employment Forum
20 October 2026
More than 170 companies will participate from 19 to 22 October in the 22nd edition of CUNEF Universidad’s Employment Forum, which will transform the School of Business, Economics and Law, the School of Engineering, and the Graduate and International Business School into a hub for direct interaction between university talent and the business community. The four-day event will enable thousands of students to explore internship and career opportunities, gain firsthand insight into recruitment processes, and engage with professionals and talent managers from industry-leading organisations.
Designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the realities of the corporate world, the forum is structured around two complementary pillars. In the exhibition area, companies will showcase their projects, desired profiles, and onboarding programmes. Meanwhile, a series of conferences and roundtable discussions will analyse key career opportunities, the core competencies sought by employers, and the evolution of higher education to equip students to compete in an increasingly specialised and international market.
The broad scope of the event reflects the diversity of the professional ecosystem to which the university is connected. Banking and financial services, technology and engineering, data science and mathematics, investment and asset management, consulting, auditing, legal services, consumer goods and luxury, insurance, human resources, entrepreneurship, and the public sector will be represented.
A programme to anticipate future career paths
The programme will feature a range of events related to technology and STEM disciplines. Bernardo Quintero, Security Engineering Director at Google, will open the event with the conference “INFECTED: From Spectrum to Google, the Path of an Accidental Entrepreneur”, on Monday, 19 October, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at the Almansa Campus. The session, hosted by Victoria López, Director of CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering, will offer students a firsthand look at a career path driven by technology, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship, three critical fields shaping the evolution of high-skilled employment.
In line with this focus on STEM disciplines, on 22 October the School of Engineering will host “How to Turn a Tech Idea into a Viable Business”, a session on tech entrepreneurship featuring Álvaro Ayllón, co-founder and CEO of Maternify, and Borja Boada, alumnus and CEO of FUDEAT.
On 20 October, additional panel discussions will focus on economics, finance and business degrees and their international scope. “Breaking into Finance: The Real Differences Between PE, IB and Asset Management” will explore the different pathways into private equity, investment banking and asset management alongside experts from J.P. Morgan, Portobello Capital, Nomura and BBVA Asset Management, while “Would They Hire You? Inside the Minds of Top Recruiters”, with professionals from Accenture, LVMH Beauty Iberia and Universia, will offer insights into what major employers value and how to build a competitive application in international recruitment processes.
The programme will feature two more roundtable discussions: “Big Law vs. Boutique vs. In-House: Real Career Paths” will compare legal practice in large firms, specialised boutique firms and in-house legal departments, featuring professionals from A&O Shearman, Cases & Lacambra and Repsol. Following this, the discussion “From CUNEF Universidad to Entrepreneurship: Alumni Building Companies” will showcase the journeys of graduates who have turned their ideas into business ventures such as Unlock Management, Maraca and Gourmeats, further strengthening the bond between the university’s alumni community and students.
The closing session, which will be held at the Almansa Campus on 22 October, will feature “Career Opportunities in the Public Sector Beyond Traditional Competitive Exams”, to analyse career paths linked to the State Attorney General’s Office, the Court of Auditors and economic internationalisation, broadening students’ perspectives on their professional development options.
University and industry: ties that drive employability
The Employment Forum brings the needs, trends and opportunities of the professional world directly to the campus, allowing companies to engage with the talent emerging from the university. This exchange helps higher education to stay aligned with evolving market demands, enriching career guidance and facilitating a more informed transition from the classroom to the workplace. With this new edition, CUNEF Universidad strengthens an academic model connected to the business community and to the real challenges faced by organisations, a model where employability is built into the university experience from day one.
Key details: CUNEF Universidad’s 22nd Employment Forum will be held on site from 19 to 22 October 2026 at the Almansa Campus, home to the School of Business, Economics and Law and the Graduate and International Business School and, on 22 October, at the Pirineos Campus, home to the School of Engineering.
