Professor Santamaría has a PhD in Mathematics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2013). Her research focuses on the study of the asymptotic behavior of solutions to evolutionary equations related to partial differential equations. She has done research stays at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and at the Georgia Institute of Technology, United States.
