CUNEF Universidad welcomes its largest class in history and doubles international student enrolment

CUNEF Universidad starts the 2026–2027 academic year with 1,260 new students, the largest intake in the institution’s history of more than 50 years. This growth consolidates CUNEF Universidad’s position as a leading academic institution in Spain and abroad, reflecting the rising confidence of students and families in an educational model built on excellence, employability and strong ties with the business world.

The new class is distributed across the undergraduate degrees taught at the university’s two Schools. The School of Business, Economics and Law offers 10 degrees, including three new programmes: the Double Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and International Relations, the Double Bachelor in Law and International Relations and the Bachelor in Business Administration with an International Diploma. The School of Engineering offers seven degrees, including the Bachelors in Computer Engineering and in Mathematical Engineering, as well as Double Bachelors in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and in Economics and Mathematical Engineering, which, as of this year, will also be taught in English.

Additionally, undergraduate students may complement their degree with one of our nine Minors, which include Robotics, Data Science or International Finance & Banking, as an option.

Internationalisation

Starting this academic year, CUNEF Universidad has expanded its academic offering with the degree in International Relations at the University of London (UoL). The programme, which is under the academic direction of The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), can be pursued within a dual degree with the Bachelor in Law or the Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at CUNEF Universidad. This partnership positions CUNEF Universidad as the first and only “Recognised Teaching Centre” in Spain within the prestigious LSE Global Programmes international network.

One of this academic year’s key milestones is the expansion of the university’s international footprint. The intake of new international students has doubled compared to last year, spanning over 50 nationalities. Additionally, CUNEF Universidad has earned AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) international accreditation, one of the most prestigious global quality standards in higher education in Business Management. This accreditation boosts CUNEF Universidad’s international visibility, expands its strategic alliances with prestigious institutions, strengthens its ability to attract top academic and student talent, and consolidates its participation in global knowledge networks.edes globales de conocimiento.

Significantly, 81% of CUNEF Universidad’s undergraduate programmes are delivered in English, and the institution is partnered with more than 160 prestigious universities across 35 countries. This represents a strategic advance for the university, enhancing its global outlook and its commitment to educating professionals to excel in increasingly internationalised environments.
