CUNEF Universidad welcomes its international students

CUNEF Universidad celebrated a new edition of its Welcome Day for international Bachelor students, a day filled with activities designed to help them get to know the institution and their fellow students better before the start of the academic year. This year, the number of international students has doubled compared with the previous year, with more than 50 nationalities represented, further strengthening the university’s international outlook.

The event took place simultaneously across the university’s two campuses, with welcome sessions led by Victoria López, Dean of the School of Engineering at CUNEF Universidad, and Adoración Álvaro, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. 

The sessions introduced CUNEF Universidad’s educational model, centred on a strong foundation of academic knowledge combined with key skills for students’ future careers and a multidisciplinary approach. The value of experiential learning offered by the institution was also highlighted, through business cases, competitions and complementary activities organised by each school.

International outlook

CUNEF Universidad’s international outlook was also presented to students. In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on the wide range of international exchange opportunities offered by the university through its more than 160 agreements with prestigious universities in 35 countries.

Aware of the importance of building a distinctive CV for their future careers, students had the opportunity to learn about the wide range of internship opportunities available with both Spanish and multinational companies. They were also introduced to the advantages of studying in Madrid during their university years and making the most of the city’s rich cultural offering.

Students then attended a panel discussion with other international students, where they had the opportunity to share experiences and receive advice on how to make the most of their time at university.

Following these sessions, all students took part in a guided tour of their respective campuses and enjoyed an outdoor lunch before moving on to the afternoon’s ice-breaking and team-building activities. During these activities, students took part in games and exercises designed to help them get to know one another better and build connections with their fellow students, guided by specialists in each area.
