Biography
Rafael Sendra is Full Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at CUNEF Universidad. Since 2002, he has been a Full Professor in the area of Applied Mathematics at the Universidad de Alcalá. He holds six recognized six-year research periods (sexenios), has supervised six Ph.D. theses, and has published over 120 research articles, as well as a research monograph with Springer-Verlag. He has also edited several special issues in scientific journals and served on various scientific committees. Since 2002, he has been a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Symbolic Computation. He has served as principal investigator (PI) on 11 funded research projects. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and symbolic computation. He has published three textbooks: one on symbolic computation and two on linear algebra. He has served as Head of the Department of Mathematics at the Universidad de Alcalá and has been a member of the Evaluation Committee for Experimental Sciences in the Faculty Evaluation Program of ANECA (Spain's national agency for quality assessment and accreditation).
