Silvia Iranzo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a PhD in Economics and Business from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Madrid. She is currently a Professor of Economics at CUNEF and IEB.
She is an independent board member at Técnicas Reunidas and Airtificial, both listed companies, as well as at the Official Credit Institute (Instituto de Credito Oficial). Professor Iranzo is also a member of the governing body of the Institute of Directors (IC-A). She is former Secretary of State for Trade, Ambassador of Spain to the Kingdom of Belgium, Chair of the Board of ICEX, Head of Country Risk at the Bank of Spain, an independent board member at the listed companies Indra Sistemas and Tecnocom, and a board member at Banco Exterior UK, CESCE, and Telefónica Internacional, among others.
