Julio Galvez is an Assistant Professor on Tenure Track in the Department of Finance and Accounting at CUNEF Universidad. His research interests cover household finance and applied macroeconomics. Prior to joining CUNEF, he was a Research Economist at the Banco de España. He holds a PhD in Economics from CEMFI and a BS in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines. He was a research fellow of the Swedish House of Finance and a member of the scientific committee of the Finance Forum (2024 and 2025).
