From 27 to 30 May, CUNEF Universidad hosted the 2nd edition of CodeChella Madrid, an intensive workshop on advanced methods of causal inference using difference-in-differences. The workshop, held in the Auditorium of the Almansa Campus, was attended by more than 100 researchers from Europe and the United States, including doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and university professors.

In this edition, CodeChella Madrid focused on the development and practical implementation of causal inference methods. Apart from sessions focusing on difference-in-differences methodology and coding, the workshop included practical sessions on the scientific publication process, aimed at offering participants useful tools for writing and presenting their research in academic journals.

This year’s edition of CodeChella Madrid featured the following speakers:

  • Scott Cunningham, expert in applied econometrics and knowledge dissemination and founder of Mixtape Sessions
  • Mark Andersen, Professor at Montana State University
  • Kyle Butts, Professor at Arkansas University
  • Dan Rees, Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

The workshop was coordinated by Agustín Casas, Professor of the Department of Economics at CUNEF Universidad.
