The School of Engineering and STRATESYS launch a competitive programming team

On Monday, 13 October, the Pirineos Campus hosted “Opportunities for Technological Consulting and Cooperation with CUNEF Universidad’s Competitive Programming team”, a complementary activity for undergraduate students.

During the session, Jorge de Rojas Villavecchia, Business Development Manager at the consulting firm STRATESYS, talked to the students about the company’s artificial intelligence projects, highlighting the advantages of using AI to increase customer service efficiency and, at the same time, creating an AI structure to govern it effectively. Candela Barrio, Human Resources Generalist at STRATESYS, explained the workings of their internship programs, which focus on student training and professional development.

Finally, Javier París, María Espinosa and Francisco Criado, professors at the School of Engineering, announced the creation of CUNEF Universidad’s competitive programming workshop, a space where students will learn to solve programming problems and get ready to represent CUNEF Universidad in different competitions. The next will be the Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC), which will bring together participants from multiple European countries next November in Lisbon. The professors reminded students to keep in mind that the companies that sponsor these events are always on the lookout for talent.
