First ACEDE Paper Development Workshop in strategy

Call for papers

The Strategy Section of ACEDE is pleased to announce the First ACEDE Paper Development Workshop (PDW) in strategy. The workshop aims to assist participants in developing their research into papers that may be suitable for publication in leading academic journals. The PDW will provide detailed and constructive feedback in a collaborative and supportive environment, fostering the advancement of high-quality research in the field of strategy.

We welcome conceptual or empirical contributions on any topic related to strategy. Papers may employ both quantitative (longitudinal or cross-sectional) and qualitative research methods. Submissions may cover any aspect of strategy, including but not limited to competitive advantage, strategic decision-making, innovation or corporate governance.

Submissions will be peer-reviewed by the organizing committee. The workshop welcomes two types of contributions:

  • Early-stage works...

...that present innovative ideas, frameworks, or research questions in their formative stages

  • Advanced-stage works...

...with well-developed findings or near-completion results.

Submissions with the highest potential will be selected for participation. Accepted proposals may be presented either as a poster or a full presentation. The aim is to foster a collaborative and constructive environment tailored to the needs of both types of contributions. To maintain this focus, the number of accepted proposals will be limited to a maximum of 20.

Details and programme

The PDW is designed to help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts and enhance their chances of publication in leading academic journals. The workshop will provide a platform for close interaction between researchers and expert scholars, facilitating critical and constructive feedback at various stages of paper development.

  • Authors may submit either full papers or extended abstracts (the required length in this case is 2500-3000 words, and they should include Principal Topic, Method, and Results used to collect and analyze the data).
  • Submissions should address topics within the field of strategy.
  • Papers should be in development and not yet submitted to academic journals.
  • Submissions will be sent to estrategia.acede@gmail.com

The organizing committee, with the assistance of external reviewers, if necessary, will evaluate the submitted Papers/proposals. Decision letters will be sent to the authors on May, 2025.

Authors will present their papers/proposals during the allocated time slots (Poster session or Presentations), followed by some time for Q&A. All submissions will be shared with the audience and invited speakers. The panel of expert academics in strategy will provide general feedback, specific clarifications, and valuable suggestions. This high-quality feedback will help authors refine their manuscripts, enhancing their chances of being published in top academic journals within this field of knowledge.
