All the participants in the closing ceremony of the first level of the Entrepreneurship Education and Mentoring Programme for Artisan Fashion

Last Friday, 4 July, CUNEF Universidad held an event to celebrate the successful conclusion of Level 1 of the Entrepreneurship Education and Mentoring Programme for Artisan Fashion, organised in cooperation with the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation (FAME, for its acronym in Spanish). The purpose of this 12-month programme is to drive the organisation, modernisation and professionalisation of the fashion industry in Spain. It consists of two levels designed to provide 35 artisans with the business and management skills required to ensure the survival and scalability of their projects.

The closing ceremony included a roundtable discussion between Rosa Tous, Corporate Vice-president of Tous, Carlota Barrera, founder and creative director, and Sergio Álvarez, Director of FAME, who all agreed on the importance of creating synergies between fashion and crafts, integrating business vision and craftsmanship, and collaborating with artisans. After the discussion, Pepa Bueno, Vice-chair of FAME, made some closing remarks.

The 19 participants in Level 1 presented their capstone projects, in chich they showcased the skills and knowledge acquired during the programme, to a panel with experts Ainhoa García, Chief Studio & Merchandising Officer at Rabanne, Héctor Jareño, founder of Reliquiae, and Alejandra Caro, trustee of FAME.
