Professor Sáenz de Pipaón received a PhD in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), where she attended the Criminal Law Department’s Criminal Law Studies doctoral programme. Her doctoral research focused on jurisdictional aspects of Criminal Law, resulting in her thesis “Universal Criminal Policy. Towards a jurisdictional solution?”. She graduated in Criminology at the Universidad Camilo José Cela, in Madrid. She attended several related courses at the Catholic University of Louvain, and trained in the School for Legal Practice at UCM. She teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Law Counsel and Criminal Process at CUNEF. Aside from her teaching and research activities, she is a criminal lawyer with experience in all aspects of Criminal Law and a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
