- Etayo Rodríguez María de Ujué
Biography
After earning her a PhD in Mathematics from Universidad de Cantabria (2019), under the supervision of Professor Carlos Beltran, Professor Etayo worked as a researcher in Peter Grabner’s team at TU Graz. From 2021 to 2024, she was an Assistant Professor at Universidad de Cantabria.
She has been awarded recognition for a six-year research period or sexenio and is a principal researcher. She has participated as a speaker, including as a plenary speaker, in over 50 conferences. In 2022 she received the José Luís Rubio de Francia Award and the Juan María Pares Social Council Research Award. Previously, in 2020, she had received the Vicent Caselles Award.
She has been supervising Pedro López-Gómez’s doctoral thesis since 2021. She has taught more than 20 complete mathematics courses at different university levels, from first year to doctoral. In particular, she has designed a doctoral level course on determinant processes and taught it for two academic years.
