María Espinosa is Lecturer in the Department of Quantitative Methods at CUNEF Universidad. She is currently pursuing her PhD in information verification within the Department of Computer Languages and Systems. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a Degree in English Studies. She has completed an international research stay at the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) at the University of Coimbra. Her main research interests include natural language processing, machine learning, and linguistics, with a particular focus on information verification on social media, user profiling, language models, fake news, and stance detection.
