María Espinosa is currently working towards her PhD in Information Verification at the Languages and Computer Systems group of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), in Madrid, Spain. In 2019 she received a Bachelor in Computer Science from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), adding it to the Bachelor in English Philology she received in 2013 from the Universidad de Alicante (UA). Her main research interests include natural language processing (NLP), machine learning and linguistics, with a special emphasis on verification of information on social media, language models, fake news and position detection.
