Biography
Saskia Demulder is an Assistant Professor on tenure track in the Department of Quantitative Methods at CUNEF Universidad. She is a theoretical physicist working on string theory, quantum gravity, and complexity. She earned her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Swansea University with a thesis on duality and resurgence in integrable sigma models, funded with an FWO aspirant fellowship. Following that, she held research positions at the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Ben-Gurion University, where she was awarded the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship. Before joining CUNEF Universidad, she organised international conferences and doctoral studies, and remains actively engaged in mentoring and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in science. She has supervised several undergraduate and graduate research students.
