BIO
Elia was appointed Adjunct Professor in Law in June 2017. She is a PhD candidate in Financial Regulation (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) and holds a BA in Economics and Law and an MA in Legal Practice from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In her doctoral dissertation she explores the possible implications of integrating sustainability considerations into EU financial regulation. Prior to academia, she worked as a Legal Counsel at a venture capital fund in Madrid (2017-2018) and as an Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague (2015-2016).

Research Interests
Elia is interested in the intersection between Law and Finance. Specific interests include the role of Law in supporting sustainable finance and promoting economic growth while increasing transparency regarding the risks that could impact investors and the sustainability of the financial system.
