Biography
Sonali Kaur Bhatia is an Assistant Professor of Strategy in the Department of Business Management at CUNEF Universidad. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Studies from IE Business School. Her research examines how diversified firms can design organizational structures that balance synergy with resource redeployment, and how these diversification strategies are communicated to external stakeholders. By highlighting the trade-offs between synergy and redeployment, her work shows that multi-business firms are not automatically better positioned under uncertainty and must thoughtfully design their structures to avoid performance risks. She has presented her research at the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society, with two papers nominated for the Best Paper Awards.
