Biography

Pablo M. Berná is an Assistant Professor on Tenure Track in the Department of Mathematics at CUNEF Universidad. PhD in Mathematics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 2019, accredited as Associate Professor by ANECA (2024) with one recognized research period ("sexenio"). He co-supervised a PhD thesis at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and currently supervises two theses on greedy algorithms in Spain. Member of the Editorial Board of Demonstratio Mathematica, he has held research stays at Illinois, Buenos Aires, and Cambridge. Since January 2025, he has served as Deputy Secretary of the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society, where he was also editor of its bulletin. He has taught mathematics, probability, and statistics in Economics, Business, and Engineering programs.
