Andrés Ahumada is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at CUNEF Universidad. Previously he worked as adjunct professor at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
He obtained his PhD from UNAM in 2024 with the thesis "Actions on Spaces with Bounded Curvature", where he introduced symmetry on metric spaces with a synthetic notion of curvature. He has been a visiting researcher at Durham University and at Karlsruhe Insitute of Technology. His research interests are metric and Riemannian geometry, with contributions published in the journal Differential Geometry and its Applications.
