CUNEF Universidad hosts a conference to encourage entrepreneurship in the age of AI
14 November 2025
On Friday, 14 November, CUNEF Universidad’s Entrepreneurship Club organised “Entrepreneurship in Spain: Opportunities to make a difference”, a roundtable discussion held in the Auditorium of the Almansa Campus with speakers Antonio Rodríguez-Pina, Chairman of CUNEF S.L.U. and Non-Executive Chairman of Deutsche Bank Spain, Beatriz González, founder of Seaya, Antonio Iglesias, Former Managing Director of Endeavor Spain and a member of the Board of Directors of CUNEF, and Íñigo Gómez-Jordana, representative of the Entrepreneurship Club.
“The greatest challenge you’ll face is using what you’ve learned in the real world,” Rodríguez-Pina told the students, highlighting that all the courses in CUNEF Universidad’s curricula are highly relevant in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. For the chairman, knowledge and continuous training are essential to entrepreneurship and innovation. “The world is rife with good ideas, but it takes knowing how to implement them,” he said.
Antonio Iglesias highlighted how much the entrepreneurial landscape has changed in the last decade: “Things are completely different today,” he said, adding that entrepreneurs are currently better educated and have more experience. Mr Iglesias focused on the disruption caused by AI, which is creating uncertainty and opportunities in business.
In this sense, Beatriz González highlighted urgency as the biggest change brought on by AI, together with the risks it entails. “We can do much more with less money today,” said the founder of Seaya, who also emphasised that new opportunities are arising across all areas, especially those that involve automation processes.
The speakers answered the students’ questions and advised them on how to start out in the entrepreneurial world. They all agreed that, to succeed, potential entrepreneurs must have a very clear idea of the competitive advantage that they intend to provide. They also listed the qualities of good entrepreneurs, among which they highlighted humility, leadership, rigour and curiosity, as well as the ability to ask for help and build good teams.
