Last Monday, 15 September, CUNEF Universidad’s School of Engineering hosted “The Focus Theory of Choice – An Axiomatized Decision Theory under Uncertainty”. This complementary activity for undergraduate students was held at Pirineos Campus and delivered by Professor Masatoshi Kaku, from Yokohama National University (Japan).
During the session, Professor Kaku stressed the importance of positive/negative perception in the choice process and its integration into formal decision-making systems. With relatable examples and a touch of humour, Professor Kaku engaged the students and showed them the uses of decision theory in industry and business processes.
The School of Engineering organises complementary activities for its undergraduate students on a monthly basis. Soon, it will host the session “Triumphs and failures of cloud architectures: corporate and industry uses”, which will feature a presentation by Alejandro Delgado, Principal Public Cloud Architect at IBM.
