CUNEF Universidad explores supply chain career opportunities

4 November 2025

On Tuesday, 4 November, the School of Business, Economics and Law held “Supply Chains at the Stake”, a complementary activity for undergraduate students. Speakers Davide Verdi, Innovation Project Manager at Gestamp, and Pablo Lázaro Trujillano, InPost executive, talked to the students about their own career and their experience in solving complex supplies and logistics issues, stressing the importance of adaptability and flexibility to succeed in these areas.

During the session, chaired by Mehmet Dönmez, professor of the Department of Business Management at CUNEF Universidad, the speakers discussed how they use technologies like artificial intelligence for work. In their opinion, AI can increase efficiency if we use it to predict demand, assist in new product design, or reach customers in smaller companies; nevertheless, they emphasised that it must be combined with human work, acting as a complement, not a replacement.

Davide Verdi and Pablo Lázaro encouraged students to venture into the supply chain industry, pointing out that dynamism, creativity and the willingness to create new business opportunities are especially valued in this field. In addition, they noted that the industry is highly diverse in terms of profiles, and candidates’ academic background is not a limiting factor.
