Rodríguez Mora, José Vicente

BIO
Born in Barcelona in 1965, Professor Rodríguez Mora earned a BA from UAB and then, a PhD from MIT. He teaches Economics at CUNEF Universidad and at the University of Edinburgh. He has worked in UPF and the University of Southampton. He visited the IIES (Stockholm University) in 1998–99 and 2000–01, the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Fed in 2013–14, and EIEF (Rome) in 2020–21.
Currently, he is trying to think productively about the following issues:
- Using banking transaction data in economics
- Intergenerational mobility
- Consumption and income inequalities
He has supervised 15 PhD dissertations in UPF, UAB and Edinburgh, and is currently supervising three more.
He enjoys writing LaTeX packages and reading tons of serious history and amateur biology. Not much fiction, except some economics papers. He also loves skiing, trying to play the piano, and spending time with his two children.
