Biography

Isabel Melguizo is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at CUNEF Universidad. She is an Assistant Professor (currently on leave) at CIDE, Mexico City. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, also in Mexico City. In 2025-2026, she was a visiting professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her work focuses on social and economic networks. She is an Associate Editor of Latin American Economic Review and guest editor of its special issue commemorating the 50th anniversary of CIDE's Division of Economics. She regularly teaches microeconomics courses at different levels. She has also supervised undergraduate dissertations (TFGs) related to social network topics.
