Biography
Lorenzo Prats is a Full Professor in the Department of Law at CUNEF Universidad. He was educated at the Universities of Valencia, Bologna, Cambridge (UK), and Chicago (USA). He has previously held the following positions: Assistant Professor of Civil Law (UVEG) from 1984 to 1990; Associate Professor of Civil Law (UVEG) in 1990; Full Professor of Civil Law (UniCan) in 2002; Full Professor of Civil Law at UCM (on secondment) in 2007; and Full Professor of Civil Law at UAB (14/07/2008-30/09/2020, on leave of absence). He has been awarded four positive research evaluation periods (sexenios) by the (CNAI). He has supervised six doctoral dissertations and has served as principal investigator in four research projects (two funded by the Ministry of Science and Research, one by the Instituto de Estudios Autonómicos-Generalitat de Catalunya and one by AGAUR -Generalitat de Cataluña.
