Biography
María Hernández-de-Benito is an Assistant Professor on Tenure Track in the Department of Economics at CUNEF Universidad. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University (2021. She holds master's degrees from Georgetown and New York University, and a bachelor's degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her research areas are applied microeconomics, economic development, gender economics, and social and labor inclusion. She has published in international journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and World Development. She was a Juan de la Cierva Fellow and has obtained competitive funding from organizations including J-PAL and Innovations for Poverty Action.
