Biography
Martin Hagen joined CUNEF Universidad as an Assistant Professor on Tenure Track in the Department of Economics in 2020 after earning his PhD from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His research focuses on microeconomic theory, with a particular emphasis on mechanism design. He is the principal investigator of the project "Reforming the EU asylum system: Insights from mechanism design", funded by the Ramón Areces Foundation. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics and Journal of Economic Theory. He served on the scientific committee of the Symposium of the Spanish Economic Association in 2024 and 2025.
