BIO
Professor Salmerón has been teaching Artificial Intelligence at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, in Seville, since 2012. He has taught courses on Computer Science and Information Systems throughout his academic career.
He has been recognised for four sexenios, supervised five doctoral theses and published more than one hundred and fifty scientific articles in highly recognised scientific journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Applied Soft Computing, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Neurocomputing and others. He has been Principal Investigator in national and European research projects. He is the Vice-President of the China-based International Association of Grey Systems and Uncertainty Analysis since 2016. He is listed in Stanford University’s 2020 list of the world’s top 2% scientists.
He was Lead Data Scientist at BBVA and has been Principal Data Scientist at Capgemini Engineering since 2019.
