Financial Literacy Day

This year, to celebrate Financial Literacy Day, FAEB (Spanish Banking Association Foundation) and CUNEF held a training session on cybersecurity in personal finances under the slogan “Education for safer finances”.

The session began with a lecture delivered by Ana Isabel Fernández, Rector of CUNEF, who highlighted the “giant leap” we have taken in terms of the use of technology in recent years, which entails a greater need for protection against possible threats.

Cybersecurity experts Carles Solé, CISO of Santander Spain, Eduardo Ferrero, partner at Risk Advisory Cyber ​​at Deloitte, and Gustavo Lozano, CISO of ING Spain and Portugal, also participated as speakers. They insisted on the importance of being wary of unofficial sources and protecting our data. In addition, they offered basic cybersecurity advice to help participants improve their passwords improve passwords and protect themselves better when using online banking services.

The session was closed by José Luis Martínez, representative of AEB, who pointed out that “financial literacy and digitalization are interrelated tools that enable us to control our future.”

The event, aimed at university students, took place on 7 October in the CUNEF auditorium in Madrid and was streamed live.
