Bursaries and Scholarships

Studying for a university degree or postgraduate qualification demands commitment and belief in their academic performance on the part of students, which is why we place particular emphasis on our candidates’ prior academic record.

With the support of the Spanish Banking Association Foundation (Fundación AEB), CUNEF has in place a programme of study bursaries and scholarships intended for newly enrolled students, with the aim of rewarding and incentivising academic excellence and facilitating access to university education.

Yearly Study Bursaries and Scholarships scheme intended for students newly enrolled on CUNEF degree courses

CUNEF organises a programme of various economic bursaries and scholarships for those students who fulfil the standards of excellence and dedication established for this purpose.

Meanwhile, Fundación AEB each year supports a programme of scholarships intended to support access to university education and research in all areas of activity alongside the financial knowledge of those with an interest in studying or continuing a degree or postgraduate programme at CUNEF.

The Fundación AEB scholarships are meant to facilitate access to specialist university education at CUNEF on the part of candidates who can prove an outstanding academic track record and who because of their individual economic circumstances have limited resources.

Intended for newly enrolled students with an average Baccalaureate grade of 8 or above (the Ministry of Education benchmark for public scholarships tied to academic excellence), who have obtained good results in the CUNEF admissions tests and lie within the income brands indicated for this budgetary period (50% higher than the Ministry of Education level).

The percentage scholarship awarded varies depending on the qualifications obtained and family income, with the possibility of up to 100% of the enrolment fees being covered. This scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships or bursaries.

A favourable decision as to the scholarship will entail cooperation by the student at the Centre departments. The estimated total will be between 40 and 140 hours of dedicated time over the entire academic year, depending on the amount of the scholarship. If this requirement is not fulfilled, the scholarship will be forfeited.

The scholarship must be applied for by the student within the established period, enclosing all documentation required at the time of application.

Fulfilment of the academic and economic requirements does not automatically mean that the applicant will be granted the scholarship, as this depends on the overall budget assigned each academic year.

This scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships or bursaries..

This application round is valid for the 2019-2020 academic year, and does not constitute a consolidation of the bursary/scholarship system for subsequent academic years. The decision reached by the Study Scholarships and Bursaries Committee as to the granting of a scholarship cannot be appealed.

With the aim of encouraging access to university education and research in all areas of activity and financial knowledge, CUNEF organises the following scholarship programme intended for holders of higher university qualifications or practising professionals wishing to pursue a postgraduate programme at CUNEF.
