Giorgio Zanarone is associate professor of organizational economics and management at CUNEF. He has conducted his doctoral studies at Pompeu Fabra University, where he graduated in 2008, and at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was a visiting student from 2005 to 2008. He has also been a visiting scholar at MIT in 2013 and 2019. He is Secretary and former Board member of the Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics. His research focuses on the design of institutions and organizations, particularly how formal and informal governance jointly shape firms' strategies and their relationship with public institutions. His research has been published in the leading journals in organizational economics, strategy and law and economics, including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Law, Economics and Organization, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, and the Annual Review of Law and Social Science.
