Allan Macpherson is a professor at Leicester Business School, De Montfort University (UK). His main research interests include knowledge and growth in SMEs, the emergence of nascent firms, organizational learning and related issues. He has also been council member of British Academy of Management, Vice-chair of EURAM Knowledge and Learning special interest group, and co-editor of International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR). IJMR is an official journal of the British Academy of Management. Its impact factor is 2.641 in the ISI journal citation reports 2010. It is ranked as 27 out of 140 in the category of management, and 17 out of 101 in the category of business.
